The 7 String Humbucker Routing Template ensures clean, professional cavity cuts for your guitar. Made from durable 1/2” MDF , it features engraved centerlines for precise alignment, making it an essential tool for accurate and repeatable routing.

• Outer Template Dimensions: 5.875” x 3.875” (149.2mm x 98.4mm): Fits most standard guitar bodies.
• Inner Cavity Dimensions: Core: 3.27″ x  1.59″ (83.05mm x 40.38mm), Tabs: 3.9″ (99.06mm) Designed for open core 7 string tabbed humbuckers.
• Engraved centerlines for easy alignment.

Compatible Pickups

This template fits most 7 string tabbed humbucker pickups. Please ensure to verify your measurements before routing. Covered humbuckers may have larger housings than open core models, be sure to check fitment beforehand

• Confirmed Fit: Standard tabbed open core humbuckers from the following manufacturers: Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio (standard and F-spaced models), EMG.

Template Instructions 

1. Align & Secure: Apply double-sided tape to the bottom of the template and align its centerlines with drawn centerlines on the guitar body.
2. Create a Starting Pocket: Remove the bulk of the material with a drill press or create a pilot hole large enough for the template routing bit to fit.
3. Make Shallow Passes: Lower the template routing bit into the pilot hole, making passes at incremental depths until reaching the desired depth.
